£eith Chooses

Tonight we attended the £eith Chooses announcement event and we are delighted to be able to let you know that we were successful! Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote as we have been awarded the £3000 we applied for. It was a great event and it was lovely to hear about all the other projects being awarded as well.

This money will allow us to complete the second accessible screening room. We will be able to purchase equipment and arrange for it to be set up in a way that allows the room to remain fully accessible. This means that Leith Community Cinema is fully accessible and can provide alternative quieter screening space for those with autism or dementia as well as ease of access for those with mobility issues. 

It will also fund the licence cost for screenings in this room as it counts as an additional screening even if on the same date and in the same building!

Our aim is to offer the second screening as often as possible for the remainder of this year.
